Corby Bridge Inn - finding us
We want it to be as easy as possible for you to find us, so here are directions for arrivals by road and rail with links to other sites with further information.
By Road
From the north, south and west
From J43 of the M6, go east on the A69 towards Brampton, Hexham & Newcastle. After approximately 3 miles you will come to a stone bridge over the River Eden. On the far side, turn right for Great Corby. Follow the road with the river on your right for just over a mile to Great Corby, and we're the first building on the left.
From the east
From the roundabout on the A69 on the Brampton by-pass, turn left to continue south-west towards Carlisle on the A69 to Corby Hill. At the traffic lights, continue straight ahead down the hill, as the road sweeps right. At the bottom of the hill, the road bends sharp left. Follow it for 100 yards, and you will see playing fields on your left and a high wall on your right. At the end of the playing fields, immediately before the bridge, turn left for Great Corby. With the river now on your right, the village is a little over a mile. We're the first building in the village on the left.
By Rail
Alight at Wetheral Station on the Carlisle - Newcastle line. Note that not all trains stop at Wetheral. Journey time from Carlisle is 7 minutes.
If arriving from the east (Hexham, Haltwhistle, Newcastle) cross the line and walk to your right, in the direction you arrived from.
If arriving from the west (Carlisle, Whitehaven, Workington, Barrow) stay on the side of the line you arrived at, and walk in the direction the train leaves.
Cross the Corby Bridge, and a five minute stroll along the curving pathway will bring you to a gate on the opposite side of the line from a signal box. Go through the gate and the Corby Bridge Inn is on the opposite side of the road to your left.

By Bus
An infrequent bus service operates from Carlisle in the west, and Brampton in the east. Route 95 is operated by Stagecoach. Please note that not all buses on this route call at Great Corby, so it's important to check the timetable before you travel. Journey time is 20 minutes from Carlisle.
